This update is a bit late (okay, over a month late). At the end of March we tagged the final release of Janeway version 1.4.1. Full release notes are avaialble here: https://github.com/BirkbeckCTP/janeway/releases/tag/v1.4.1

Here are some highlights from this release:

  • Update to the OAI-PMH server to cover the majority of the base requirements.
  • All press and journal images can now be SVGs.
  • Addition of layered sitemaps that can be easily read by Google Scholar: Press > Journal > Issue > Article
  • Rework of the entire preprints system as “Repository”. This is a flexible, versioned, submit and post system that can be used for preprints, postprints or any other simple object. Currently this is being used by EarthArXiv, hosted by CDL.

We’d like to thank all contributors who wrote code or helped us with this release. With special thanks to the following folks who made their first contribution in this version.
